Professional Experience and Accomplishments:
Michelle brings two decades of experience to her plaintiff‑side employment practice. She began her career on the defense side, ultimately becoming a partner at the nation’s largest employment defense firm, where she handled a wide range of cases involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage‑and‑hour disputes, and class and PAGA actions. Her work included advising employers on litigation strategy, managing complex discovery, and defending companies in state and federal courts.
Michelle later served as General Counsel for a multi-state company, where she gained a deep understanding of how employers make decisions, evaluate risk, and respond to internal complaints. This experience sharpened her ability to anticipate defense strategy and understand the internal dynamics that shape employment disputes.
Today, Michelle uses that insider knowledge to advocate for employees facing unlawful treatment in the workplace. She represents clients in cases involving discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour class and PAGA actions.
Michelle has secured significant compensation for employees who experienced unlawful treatment at work. She is committed to ensuring her clients feel heard, supported, and empowered throughout the legal process, and she approaches each case with the belief that accountability in the workplace creates safer and more equitable environments for everyone.
Education:
Michelle earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law.
